Mint, 7za not found

I have installed 7zip from the downloads section here on SourceForge. However, I get this message when trying to execute the program from the terminal:

/usr/local/bin/7za: 2: /usr/local/bin/7za: /usr/local/lib/p7zip/7za: not found

I checked, and those files are definitely present. How can I fix this?

You should use the package manager from mint... no download from sf.net.

Do sth. like this:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-cache search 7z
sudo apt-get install 7z-package-name
