Take a look at WinRAR Recovery Record feature its really need for me to use or take 7z seriously.
Ok winrar recovery mode if even using 10 can trip sometimes, depends on archive size and if added to recovery record. But been 7z i would think you would make vast improvements to make sure whole archive is recoverable.
Do it and all i will pack with is 7z, without it as now, i will still use winrar.
Sorry didn't have time to do a search if been asked before. Or likely to ever come back and see any reply. Because i don't use 7z right now, recovery recoverd and i will. I'm sure many more would do also, with corrupt archive recovery feature for repairing correctly everytime.
Just think you would soon have everyone who uses winrar, become 7z users. Which would mean 7z becomes the prefered choice for achiving across the net and world, your choice.

If not reinventing the wheel, perhaps 7zip can offer integration with "Parchive" which is another open source tool for making recovery records. It's best if the PAR2-recovery data can be appended to the 7z archive though.

a) take your time to give decent arguments, instead of "with this feature, everyone will switch to 7z, do it, now!"
b) show a basic amount of respect, instead of saying things like:

Why are you asking then in the first place?
The primary purpose of archiving tools is to compress files, iirc. And adding "recoverability" would only increase the size. Moreover, such a feature can never guarantee you 100% that your archive will be recoverable.<br>
Personally, i keep a backup on an external HD of everything i deem to be important & that 's a lot more reliable than just appending some checksum info or whatever to the archives themselves.

As previous poster, I continue using winrar until 7z offer a "recovery record" like Winrar.
He's right.
I think it's not simple to design.
