What's the thinking on v2.25 still being alpha for 2.5 yrs? Isn't that long enough to either upgrade its class or to say "don't use it?"
Maybe each older version is still provided for some "research" / testing? But they never get to stable.
I'm confused by the string of alpha versions released after 9.22beta.
Other than each round of changes resulting in a new version, to allow testing older versions (before each group of new changes), why not get one of the newer versions to "stable" status in < 2.5 yrs?
I'm not sure it takes much over 2.5 yrs for MS to test a new Windows version. Considerably more complex than 7-Z. :D
