I have a bunch of file in many sub-directories, and when using 7-Zip solid compression, the entire files in the directory tree is sorted and compressed according to their extensions.
I wish to override this default behavior and have 7-Zip compress the entire directory tree in the same alphabetical order as if I was creating a non-sold archive. The reason for my need is because files in the SAME directory of mine's may not have the same extension, but contain pretty much the same data. In other words, the files in the same directory has similar file-names, but totally different unique extensions. I'm looking for a switch like the "-DS" in WinRAR which means - do not sort archiving files...
There is no such switch now.
The only way now is create two archives:
a1.7z without compression (or a1.tar)
And then compress a1.7z to a2.7z.
