Password protected ZIP won refuses to extract?!

Hi,

one question... all of a sudden I experience difficulties extracting password protected ZIP files
with AES-256 encryption method...? I used to work for many years however now
I get the following message on the screen while tryiung to extract all in Windows 8.1, 64-bit:
"Error 0x80004005: Unexpected error"

ZIP-Crypto encryption method works!

Any ideas what may be wrong?

Windows doesn't support aes in zip.

To what I remember, it used to work... I have never changed AES default encryption method.
Anyhow thank you for the info.

aes is not default.
default is ZIP-Crypto.
