I have an 7z archive that is truncated and it turned out impossible to recover any content of the file, I cannot even see file names inside archive; nothing works, even unpacking to pipe that i used to make use of in .rar for example.
Is there any way do do it?
I know I'm not able to recover all contents but those undamaged I should be but simply can't find a way
type in search box:
recover 7z archive
and read 2013 posts.
finally i've got it
7za a -t7z $OPTS _rec.7z blabla.mp3
dd if=_error.7z of=_rec.7z bs=32 skip=1 seek=1 conv=notrunc
it's complicated but works if you know what were compression settings for the file
what if I don't? it's a real problem and I still can't recover these data
