If i open a VHD with RAW partition in 7-zip its shown as 0.fat but its actually a RAW format of partition . And file system column in File manager shows as FAT16 DOS3.31+. . I am using 9.25 alpha release of 7-zip. How could this be corrected.
Thanks for the great job..
Why do you think that it's RAW?
What do you see in HEX editor for that 0.fat file?
What progarm did you create that VHD and with what options?
Sorry for delay in getting back to you.
> Why do you think that it's RAW?
Because when i attach the VHD is win-7 disk management. Its shown as RAW.

I see only zeros

I used windows- 7 disk management option of create vhd to create the vhd but when create partition in the wizard i choose option not to format the volume which is given in file system options page of disk management create partition wizard.
Thanks for your work.
Do i have way to get the volume offset of volumes inside a vhd in 7-zip.?
It's difficult for me to keep details about that problem.
Just load that file in debugger and trace why it shows FAT.
Also look some description of MBR format in internet with IDs of file systems
to check that tables in 7-Zip's code are correct.
There is MBR archive inside vhd.
MBR or FS volume can be non-sequential inside VHD as I remember.
Thanks for the help.
I found the way to get the offset and for RAW partition prob i will work and let you know about it.
Thanks for great job
