HTML documentation missing from GitHub and source code archives

#2542 HTML documentation missing from GitHub and source code archives
The downloadable archives for Linux and macOS contain HTML documentation in the MANUAL subdirectory, e.g.:
MANUAL/cmdline/switches/large_pages.htm
MANUAL/cmdline/switches/shared.htm
MANUAL/cmdline/switches/sfx.htm
MANUAL/cmdline/switches/scc.htm
MANUAL/cmdline/switches/include.htm
MANUAL/cmdline/syntax.htm
[and more]
However, I can't find these files in the GitHub repository or in the downloadable source code archives.
Would it be possible to add this HTML documentation to GitHub and the source code archives as well? That would make it easier to include it in distribution packages.
