Hallo
7-zip (x64 v) installed on win10 pro 64 bit
if i right click on a file, some file, a fillder, some folder.... no way to obtain 7-zip items to zip/unzip file/folder from right click
i've already tryed all the possible solution (see this one for all: https://www.isumsoft.com/it/7-zip-missing-from-right-click-menu-in-windows-10/)
i've already tryed to disinstall, ccleaner reg, reinstall , but NO context menù option
i've tryed with both exe 64 bit version and msi one
i don't know how to solve the problem.
please help me, i cannot go on start munu/program/7-zip/7-zip manager, and freom ther create a zip every time i need it
it's frustrating.....
attached a screenshot, just as example
try some simple folder
create folder
1inC:.copy one txt file to
C:\1then right click that txt file.
Also look check options in menu of 7-Zip File Manager: Menu / Tools / Options / 7-Zip / Integrate 7-Zip to shell ...
In the option both integrate in shell and integrate in shell(32-bit) are enabled
despite this no item regardin 7zip are present in the context menu
(in the image u can see also the permission of "1" folder)
Maybe some another program in context menu interferes.
Try to disable or uninstall all another 3-rd party programs in context menu.
If it helps, then try to restore them one by one.
is there a way to know at first-shot wich program can be (maybe looking in some registry key your program uses too?)
nothing to do
i also removed all the program installed in the last months...
the context menù is without 7-zip
Please reboot and show context menu without any other third party program.
Allo
as u can see, in the context menu (i choosed two txt files in c:\1 ) i've only onedrive and ms defender
i also choosed "send to" to let you see also that items
Where did you get your Windows 10?
Did you install Windows from some common source.
Or it's some special version?
Try to uninstall third party "send to" items too.
Also you can try process explorer from sysinternals.
And check that there is
7-zip.dlldll in list of DLLs for explorer.exe program.Another check in 7-Zip File Manager.
go to menu: Tools / Options / Settings /
and check on "Show system menu" box.
Then right click some txt file in folder and look "System" submenu. Do you see 7-Zip items there?
Windows is a genuine copy of the OS, installed from the media creation tool from MS.
from porcess explorer i cannot find any 7-zip.dll under explorer.exe, non any 7-zip.dll using search tool
in the setting of the 7-zip file manager the checkbox "show system menu" was NOT flagged
i flagged it, but the resul is the same, no 7-zip item in the right menu
1) you need to switch Process Explorer to "View DLL" mode
to see all dll files loaded for explorer.exe file.
2) i don't ask about explorer menu after "show system menu" switching on
7-Zip File manager has similar menu.
So you can see system menu in 7-Zip File manager too.
The question: do you see 7-Zip items inside "System" submenu when you select file in 7-Zip File manager.
Actually explorer.exe loads 7-Zip.dll after first menu open action.
Then it can keep 7-Zip.dll in memory or it can unload dll.
if it keeps dll in memory, Process Explorer must show it.
I still think that there is some unusual in your system.
Try the following actions:
Uninstall all third party programs from context menu.
reboot
install 7-Zip 20.00 (exe version)
reboot
try menu

at the moment i discoveed that also other 3-party sowtare are missin
from the context menù.
(e.g. bulk rename utility, Iobit Unlocker, etcc)
at this pointt, as i didn' installed nothing recently, apart updartes
from win update, i suppose it's a common problem from the os, not 7-zip
related.
i will try to investigate more.
