In tested system 1, when 7-Zip File Manager enters a directory contains DirectX 9.0c December 2006 redistributable (directx_dec2006_redist.exe)[1], 7-Zip File Manager displays a generic executable icon instead of the executable's own icon. The bug does not occur in tested system 2, or in tested system 1 after reboot. This bug may be related to bug 3095401.
Maybe it's bug of Windows 98.
Check another filemanagers withg that file like Explorer and WinRAR.
Also Windows 98 SE support probably will be dropped in 7-Zip.
