Crash on selecting large number of files
A free file archiver for extremely high compression

I'm using the version 2.30 beta 29. I had been using beta 27, until I noticed that two updates had
occurred since last I looked.
The problem is this: I have 8000+ files which I wish to put in a single archive, each of which is quite small
(usually less than 5k). In beta 27, this was all well and good, and worked fine, and the resulting archive
was about 7 megabytes. In beta 29, I select the files, right-click and it crashes. I restart. I select the
files. I click on the "File" menu, and it crashes. I restart. I select the directory, compress it to a 7z file,
and it works... but the file is now 20 megabytes instead of 7! What has gone wrong?

Probably some other program in "system" context menu
crashes 7-zip.
About sizes:
Uninstall 7-zip beta 29, install 7-zip beta 27 and try to
recompress that folder and compare sizes.
And switch on solid mode.
