After clicking the "build road" icon, the map fails to
update for road building. It also fails to respond to
camera viewpoint adjustment. Minimizing and
re-maximizing the application, or tweaking OpenGL
settings, sometimes triggers a redraw properly
(rarely), more frequently triggers a redraw without
textures (and still not able to place roads), and quite
frequently doesn't cause a redraw at all (menu bar and
sub-windows render, but the map doesn't). After about a
dozen cycles of randomly twiddling rendering settings
back and forth, a correct redraw happens, and gameplay
can continue.
System is a Celeron 366 with 128 megs of RAM, Voodoo 3
2000 (or 3000?) graphics card, Win98. Display is
1024x768 16 bits per pixel (the V3 can only render
natively to 16-bit desktops).
Other 3D games, like Tribes and Total Annihilation,
work fine. Tribes uses Glide and Total Annihilation
uses Direct 3D, so I haven't tested the OpenGL driver
implementation on this machine. Drivers are the latest
available on the web for the Voodoo 3/Win98.

This problem only seems to occur in networked games (hotseat
didn't show it).
