Binaries for DOS and Win32 are also available.
If anybody can generate RPMs for other Linux flavors please consider contributing them. Generating RPMs is really you just need to run "redhat/create-rpms.sh" script.
The main addition in this release are debugging features for Linux.
Im glad to announce that the current CVS code (and also snapshots) adds debug features to SETEdit when running for Linux.
The functionality is in alpha stage but I was able to debug the editor using itself. You can execute, stop, use breakpoints, evaluate and modify variables. So most of the debugging functionality is there.
You can also debug remote binaries and already running processes.
Precompiled binaries of current CVS code (revision 1051) are available for DOS and Win32.
Ivan updated the Debian repository do now Debian users can use apt-get to install 0.5.2.
From a report of a user using pure DOS (not DOS emulated by Windows) I found an error in the editor.
A test release is available. Note it is only recommended for pure DOS users:

The configuration script now can detect aa-lib availability. In this case an adapted version of the DOS' plasma screen saver is compiled for UNIX systems using AA-lib.
Of course it can be disabled for those that want a smaller editor ;-)
The last CVS version compiles successfully using the MinGW 1.1 tools and MSys 1.0.7 for common GNU tools plus SiePerl as Perl interpreter.
You must be sure that MSys copy of make is used, the one included with MinGW doesn't work properly.
The makeinfo copy included with MSys 1.0.7 have some bugs and sdg.inf can't be created without commenting a line where @@ is used. I know it was fixed in newer versions of makeinfo, I didn't have time to verify if a newer version of MSys have a fixed makeinfo.
Now is possible to compile SETEdit on SPARC machines running Solaris 7.
The program works as a native X11 application so even the most complex keyboard combinations works.
