debug menu

Hi!

I just installed setedit 0.5.4 (release 1136), built for RH82.
I was eager to test the new debugging functionality... but I cannot find 
  the "Debug" menu. I changed the menubind.smn so it will appear always, 
but then the menu items don't work. What is the problem?

I followed the instructions in the help, I created a new project, added 
a main.c file, created a makefile. What else should I do?
