I officially completed my PhD on this subject. Is anyone using this? I need to eventually develop a simple way to set things up and remove the temporary hack used to test it via the Orinoco drivers. The most interesting part of the design may be the potential to be independent from hardware addresses that is possible with this design. (Well a terminal must at least recognize its own public key, but even that is only necessary during negotiation packets.) This of course allows the potential to protect the identity of those communicating from outsiders as well as insiders. Of course, to be useful, one has to have hardware designed around the system, otherwise that aspect is negated by the existing hardware address approach. Since this would require a major shift in design of todays hardware, I can't see that feature being fully implemented unless its on a private network. At any rate thats an update. If some interest in this or including parts in others or something like this occurs I'll see what I can do. -- Robert Denier (de...@um...)
