On courier-imap, I need to set INBOX. as prefix in the
configure
script. That hides the INBOX itself in the folder
dropdown list so
I cannot put mails in there using a rule.
Maybe the prefix isn't not necessarily 'INBOX.'. On most
courier-imap servers, it is, granted, but I think it may be
configurable. However, I think one cannot rely on that.
I'm no expert on that (yet), but I think one should check if
the NAMESPACE extension
(http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2342.txt) exists on the
server and, using the NAMESPACE command, one could get the
correct prefix. If I got that right, it would apply to a
wider variety of IMAP servers, not only courier-imap.

Please test version 2.0 of this plugin, which is now available for download. If you still have problems with this, please show what your $default_folder_prefix and $optional_delimiter are as well as information about your IMAP server (version, configuration of maildir prefixes, etc.). It may also help to be sure to run option "D" in the SquirrelMail configuration utility.
