Love this program! have been using it on a laptop, but we're moving to a desktop, but when I open the program I get a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Location: at SermonRecorder.SermonRecorder.InitSermonRecorder() at SermonRecorder.SermonRecorder..ctor() I'm using Win 7 Pro Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 3.0 Ghz with 6 GB RAM and a 64 bit OS.. Any thoughts on how to correct this? Thanks

    Thanks for the compliment!

My problem is, I can't reproduce this problem on any of my computers. So, there is no way to find the root cause.

May be you can give me more details on this error? In some unhandled exceptions, it is possible to copy a long debug print. That would be really helpful!

Anyway, this looks a bit similar, like the problem discussed in german in the other thread. It seems to be linked to a Windows update there. And for that issue, I have an indication for a fix. I'll include that and release a test version in the next days.... (a bit like trial-and-error :-/ )

I'm not familiar with printing debug reports, I'll have to look up how to
do that. In the meantime, I suspect the cause to be related to the input,
i.e. missing drivers, because when I hooked the PC up to the mixer I found
that there was a problem with the drivers. I have downloaded new Yamaha
drivers and will try again on Sunday. If that fails, I'll try to get you a
      debug report. Thanks again

    Dear Robert,

    Sorry for the late answer.

After I found one of my coputers to have a very similar problem, I were in contact with the developer of the BASS library, which I am using.

To male a long story short, on my "bad" machine, it had to do with the setting "Windows - Settings - Data security settings - Microphone - "Allow apps to access the microphone". (Sorry for the bad german - english translation! :-)
Please check if that switch is set to on. Else, also SR is unable to access the mic.

for some reason, SR doesn't appear on the list below the switch. I don't know why.
