pyRete is a small and simple forward chaining Rule Engine implemented in Python. At the moment pyRete doesn't work. I just think you should know that before spending too much time with the code. The files in the /pyRete_tests folder should work though. They also provide some sort of documentation for how to use pyRete. If you're after a *real* Rule Engine you should check out CLIPS or JBoss Rules. If you're still interested. Check out the pyRete folder to a pyRete directory on PYTHONPATH and the files in the pyRete_tests folder to where ever you find it convenient to have them. This version has only been tested with Python 2.5. If you want to use the Rete Network Viewer (view.py) you should also have wxPython installed (get it at www.wxpython.org). If you want to help or have questions about pyRete send me an e-mail at johan@pulp.se. /Johan Lindberg, Pulp 2006-10-24
