That's what I do not understand as well.
When I installed Python 2.4 yesterday there
hasn't been created the corresponding directory
in /Library/Python  and when calling python
on the console it still displays

Python 2.3 (#1, Sep 13 2003, 00:49:11)
[GCC 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)] on darwin

So if anybody knows how the new version of Python
can be activated, let us know ;-)
