#97 sensors applet crashes after changing preferences

Sensors applet runs fine in gnome panel, but whenever I try to change any
preference, it "quits unexpectedly" when closing the preference window.

I am running Ubuntu 16.04 with FVWM desktop. All other gnome applets work
without problems in my gnome panel. I notice that sensors is supposed to
require libpanel-applet-4 which is not installed on my system. When I start to install
it, Ubuntu's package manager tell me that it will have to uninstall gnome-applets,
gnome-panel, and a few other packages, which looks bad! Do you know if libpanel-applet-4 provide gnome-panel and gnome-applets if these packages get removed? Or perhaps that's not the reason for this behavior?
