I am in the process of reading the archives regarding this issue and I
am trying to convert from qpage to sendpage since I have outgrown qpage
with my 750,000 Text Messages that I send on a yearly basis for the K-12
School Districts in our state. Over this holiday I have been able to
install sendpage, get it configured but having a problem connecting to
verizon during handshake where as the qpage server does not have a
problem. I have discovered in my test with the other providers I support
with SMS messages sendpage is superb in the Modem area as it knows when
the modem is in use and when it is not where qpage does not and is why I
am wanting to move to sendpage.

In my sendpage.cf file I have tried PG1, PG3 and UCP for the proto and
also have changed carrier-detect along with stricttap. All of the
options have not worked.

Since I am not a application programmer would this issue be a result of
Perl where this is not the case with C. I would even start a bounty for
the solution to this issue.
