[sendpage-devel] Looking for alternatives to InterPage as a tap provider.

Hello,

I work at a small hosting company where we use TAP paging to alert ourselves to
problems, including that networking is not working.

We have been sending out pages through Sprint, but would like to not be
tied to a single phone company anymore.

In looking for alternatives, one of the only providers we found to serve us
in Richmond, Indiana is InterPage: http://www.interpage.net/

I'd like to know if there are competitors to InterPage that we should be
evaluating. I found some of the lists of "TAP Centrals" online, but have
had difficulty narrowing down to ones that actually apply to us.  Because
we are small, and may send out less than 100 pages per month, some of the 
"Enterprise" services don't apply to us.

I have also wondered if it is at all feasible to run a TAP server myself, by having a server
hosted remotely with a modem attached and the right software installed. I researched that
a little bit, but couldn't confirm that this was feasible.
