I would find it very useful if I did not have to
predefine paging centers, if I could connect to the
sendpage SNPP server and say something like "PAGE
7735551212@18005550000" and it would dialup 1-800-555-
0000 and deliver a page via TAP, using all default
parameters.
I have an application that uses the SNPP server, and I
want users to be able to add their own paging centers
via a web interface. This gets difficult when it
involves modifying a config file on another server
(and restarting the daemon?).
If you want to get really fancy, I suppose you could
come up with a little bit of syntax to allow one to
specify various paging center parameters as well.
Something like "PAGE 7735551212@18005550000:PG1" or
even "PAGE 7735551212@18005550000&proto=PG1". An
alternative would be extensions to the RFC1861
protocol for specifying the same things.
Thanks,

I suppose a "default" section for PCs could be built. There
are a lot of variables when dealing with PCs, but _most_ can
handle 7E1, 9600, non-strict tap.
Hm. I'll have to think about this.
