All,

Testing has revealed that the patches for sendmail versions 8.12.8, and 8.12.9 are not working correctly.

There are two possible solutions to this:

1. Remain with an earlier version of sendmail with working sendmail+mysql support, and apply the following patchesm for the critical vulnerabilities in versions prior to 8.12.9:

http://www.sendmail.org/patchps.html
http://www.sendmail.org/patchcr.html

2. Disable the configuration for MySQL in your sendmail configuration files, and use mysqldump to put your mysql table data into .db files for the time being, while using sendmail 8.12.9.

All I can say is that I am putting in all available time to this, and will get a working mysql patch for the 8.12 series of sendmail as soon as I can.

It would help to know if anyone's using the postgres element of the new patch and whether that works okay.
