I tried building a Perl 5.6.1 = with > their patches, and running Sendmail::Milter under it. Unfortunately, = it > was still unstable. The patches from ActiveState may very = well correct issues regarding PerlMx, but that is no guarantee that = these are the same things causing trouble with Sendmail::Milter. Perl = threading is very complicated and not so easily fixed, or it would have = been done already. Anyway, seems our only option is to anticipate future improvments to = Perl threading in general and to Sendmail::Milter in particular. In the = meantime I'll stick to C for all serious miltering. It takes longer to = code but it's fast and reliable when finally deployed. Regards, /Johan Ekenberg |
