On my wiki, two territories, both with special characters (é in Réunion, and d' in Cote d'Ivoire) are getting every possible value of a given property: http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Cote-20d%27Ivoire http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Réunion I posted this question on Semantic Forms google group (http://bit.ly/ 9Q4MS), and one user suggested and eventual incompatibility between SMW and Mediawiki 1.14. Have some of you seen this behaviour before? How can I fix it? Thank you, Ana Rita |

I thought I recognized that behavior. I have been getting the same error with special characters in properties assigned through the use of an #arraymap (with the technique suggested in the documentation regarding assignment of reverse properties). In this case, the property MemberStateOf is assigned based on a query on the other property, MemberStates. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution but this may help whoever is reading to identify what it going on. - Laurent On Mar 17, 2009, at 12:21 PM, Ana Rita Moreira wrote: > On my wiki, two territories, both with special characters (é in > Réunion, and d' in Cote d'Ivoire) are getting every possible value of > a given property: > > http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Cote-20d%27Ivoire > http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Réunion > > I posted this question on Semantic Forms google group (http://bit.ly/ > 9Q4MS), and one user suggested and eventual incompatibility between > SMW and Mediawiki 1.14. > > Have some of you seen this behaviour before? Actually, reading back my notes, I did find one cause of this problem. Look in the template you are using to invert the properties. I noticed that 'PAGENAMEE' tends to break down when some special characters are used. Try replacing it with 'PAGENAME' instead. That worked for me although it did not remove all causes of that problem. I am still getting weird things, such as odd, invalid properties with special characters in my 'wanted properties' page. - Laurent On Mar 17, 2009, at 12:32 PM, Laurent Alquier wrote: > I thought I recognized that behavior. > > I have been getting the same error with special characters in > properties assigned through the use of an #arraymap (with the > technique suggested in the documentation regarding assignment of > reverse properties). > > In this case, the property MemberStateOf is assigned based on a query > on the other property, MemberStates. > > Unfortunately, I don't have a solution but this may help whoever is > reading to identify what it going on. > > - Laurent > > > On Mar 17, 2009, at 12:21 PM, Ana Rita Moreira wrote: > >> On my wiki, two territories, both with special characters (é in >> Réunion, and d' in Cote d'Ivoire) are getting every possible value of >> a given property: >> >> http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Cote-20d%27Ivoire >> http://aca-m.org/mcea/wiki/Special:Browse/Réunion >> >> I posted this question on Semantic Forms google group (http://bit.ly/ >> 9Q4MS), and one user suggested and eventual incompatibility between >> SMW and Mediawiki 1.14. >> >> Have some of you seen this behaviour before?
