Could some developers help us and pointing into the right direction,
how to achieve a functionality that allows to display RunQuery in on
overlay window (such as upload window or popup form).
The reason we ask, as more as we advanced in using semantics in our
system as more as we see that the standard fact box only gives
rudimentary information (which is good at the beginning), but with an
increasing complexity of #ask queries the standard page load can be
quite challenging. Therefore we started to migrated all complex and
compound queries into RunQuery templates (display of hypergraphs,
tagcloud, similar term search query, display statistics with jPlot
etc.), so that the user can choose when to run those queries as a
Specialpage without slowing down the display of the content page.
Now, this process helped us to streamline #ask queries, decreased
performance bottle necks and increased efficiency in information
retrieval, but all this comes at a price to leave the current page and
change to the RunQuery Specialpage (the user is provided with a link,
where RunQuery is instantly executed (set &wpRunQuery=true) ).
Having a possibility to display defined RunQueries in an overlay
window would increases usability and transparency without leaving the
current page (as it is done with the upload window or form called as
popup) and it further could help to shift to an on-demand process for
complex and external source queries.
Help would be much appreciated.
