Is there any way to rid markup created by SF of whitespace of the form <p><br></p>? If I manually remove the linebreaks following template calls formatted by SF, then they go away. If there are 3 templates sequentially (as happens with multiple-templates) then MW sees 2 linebreaks, and a <p><br></p> is generated. Is this linebreak necessary? If there are even more templates, then the resulting page gets progressively uglier. Maybe you know a workaround for me. Thanks. |

Hi John, it often helps to avoid newlines at the beginning and the end of the template definitions, e.g. right after the <includeonly> and right before the </includeonly>. Hi Stephan, yes I know about that scenario, however that doesn't relate to generation of multiple template calls (that is, from {{{for template|x|multiple}}} ). Anyway I didn't think that beginning (or ending?) whitespace in the form affects SF's processing of the form, entirely under SF control not relating to the MW parser. And I would agree removing the CRLF after the }} of each template call makes the source of the page "ugly", but having un-programmed whitespace inserted is too high a cost for that tidiness. Thanks for your reply. - john -----Original Message----- From: Stephan Gambke [mailto:s7...@gm...] Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2011 2:33 AM To: jmc...@hy... Cc: sem...@li...
