We had SMWCon in the Washington, D.C. area over the weekend, and now I have
a bunch of videos from the conference, in .mp4 format, and they need to be
cut into separate talks (in some cases, there's more than one talk per
video, and in other cases, more than one video per talk), and then uploaded
to a video-sharing site. These videos are now all on my computer, but
unfortunately I don't think my computer has the processing power, and I'm
not sure if I have the expertise, to do it. Is there anyone who would be
willing to volunteer to help out with this task? If anyone were to
volunteer, I would just send you the relevant videos, with instructions on
how to chop them up (though in most cases, it's pretty obvious). Then we'd
figure out a good video-sharing site to upload them to - I think Vimeo has
worked well in the past, since they don't have a time limit, unlike YouTube
which has a 15-minute time limit for most users.
Please let me know if you're willing to do any part of it - you don't have
to do all the work, and having the videos online would certainly be helpful
to a lot of people.
