Hi A question for experienced developers. I need to create a page that would input a 'seed page' (ideally, a list of pages) and generate a list of properties where these pages appear as well as which page the properties were defined. The page would answer the question - which pages are related to pages in this list and which properties define these relationships. Sort of like 'what links here', but from a semantic property point of view. I don't remember seeing anything like it in the documentation - so I thought I would ask first if this kind of page is even feasible before jumping into PHP and classes documentation. I am suspecting this kind of special page would require direct database queries. From here, it looks like this is something that could be done without much performance hit but then again, I could be overlooking critical details about SMW. Any opinion ? - Laurent |

Check out the "Special:Browse" page - it's basically what you're talking about, though only for one page as opposed to a list. Sacrebleu ! (like my country men would say). I did not realize the bottom half of the Browse:Data page is the perfect place to start. Thanks for putting me on the right track. - Laurent On May 29, 2009, at 4:36 PM, Yaron Koren wrote: > Check out the "Special:Browse" page - it's basically what you're > talking about, though only for one page as opposed to a list. > > On Fri, May 29, 2009 at 2:46 PM, Laurent Alquier > <la...@al...> wrote: > > Hi > > A question for experienced developers. > > I need to create a page that would input a 'seed page' (ideally, a > list of pages) and generate a list of properties where these pages > appear as well as which page the properties were defined. > > The page would answer the question - which pages are related to > pages in this list and which properties define these relationships. > > Sort of like 'what links here', but from a semantic property point > of view. > > I don't remember seeing anything like it in the documentation - so I > thought I would ask first if this kind of page is even feasible > before jumping into PHP and classes documentation.
