Maybe you have seen this already, but I thought it worth mentioning, since I guess it probably has some consequences for the RDFIO extension in particular, and the discussions about consolidating RDF/SPARQL functionality, in general: http://arc.semsol.org/community/arc-dev/archives/2011/01/4D2...@se... As told there, ARC2 will continue to be available on GitHub though: https://github.com/semsol/arc2 -- Samuel Lampa --------------------------------------- Bioinformatician @ Uppsala University Blog: http://saml.rilspace.org --------------------------------------- |

This must also be taken into account when considering RDF store extensions for SMW. Maybe there is also some hope that Benjamin's clear announcement can prompt someone else to step forward for continuing the project, parts of its components, or at least a user support list. In any case, we should appreciate Benjamin's openness [*]. I can only wish him all the best for his upcoming projects. Cheers, Markus [*] We probably all know of other cases where software projects have been abandoned silently, eventually leading to much more pain and confusion for its dedicated users. |
