Hello, within the project SMW-CorA [1] we are developing an SMW-based virtual research environment targeting researchers doing qualitative analysis. Here we are having a data privacy issue and we are yet undecided how to deal with it. In one use case researchers analyze videos of children in their class at school. Privacy constraints are highly relevant here. Usually these videos are stored on external storage such as an USB drive, may not be copied and are password protected. Would it be possible to link from within the wiki to these files stored on such an external drive? Then only while a researcher has that drive mounted to the local machine these videos can be accessed. But then these drives always need to be mounted to the same path. I am curious if anyone of you has realized a similar use case or sees another option how to deal with this issue? Best regards, Basil [1] http://www.dipf.de/en/projects/virtual-research-environment-for-research-in-the-history-of-education-smw-cora?set_language=en |
