Heiya, I guess this dream kinda foreclosed :D Just to sort things out: Are you saying that this format would require a rewrite to do this or does this mean that the Timline extension from SMILIE is not fit for the job? I am still curious about these two parameters. In case there is information out there ... Cheers [[kgh]] Am 16.12.2011 19:51, schrieb Jeroen De Dauw: > Hey, > > AFAIK you cannot do this. I am just trying to figure out how to use the following parameters [1]: * timelinestart: can be used to define a specific printout (property) name to use as a first timepoint in timeline. * timelineend: can be used to define a specific printout (property) name to use as a second timepoint in timeline. Does anybody happen to know how to do it. As far as I understand one has to define a property with each of these parameters which themselves define the starting point of the timeline to be displayed or the end point no matter what the query results in. What ever I tried to do resulted in a timeline without showing any result, even if there should be one. What I am trying to achieve is to set today minus one month as the starting point and today plus one month as the end point of the timeline. Thus the timeline would always show two months. Any tip on this is greatly appreciated. Of cause I will update the instructions according to the solution or add a tip whatever seems more appropriate. I do not think that there is a bug with the result format. It is just me unable to figure it out. Cheers [[kgh]] [1] http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Timeline_format |

Hi, a few weeks ago I also wanted to get something done with timeline and got stuck with the code. I wanted to have a label for the timeline coming from property A but linking to a second property B. I had a look at the code and as Jeroen already mentioned: it's not very 'maintainable'. I talked to Jeroen as he is more familar with SRF's than I am and he proposed a rewrite. As I remember correctly this would be a few hundred bucks (@Jeroen: correct me if I'm wrong.). It's not a leisure activity! I suggest start some funding. Heiya, it looks like there are quite some people out there who would like to have more flexibility and additionally more compliance with current code reality. I am willing to throw in a share to get things done here too. Perhaps we do the same as for the exhibit rewrite. Hi there! I love this Result format also have something to say about it. One of my students improved zooming in SIMILE Timeline so that it look more like jquery-timeglider [1,2]. Here is the demo [3]. I thought it would be great to support this kind of timeline in Semantic Result Formats: I've heard many times from my users that the widget itself is beautiful but multiple timelines are confusing. Heiya, I believe that it is just a matter of grasping the display in the first place and of habit afterwards. For me this approach seems more confusing at the start than having multiple timelines, but I may be wrong here. Perhaps some new parameter like "mode=" with possible values "standard" or "zoom" may be nice.
