The Javascript will all be provided by jQuery and jQuery UI files contained within Semantic MediaWiki; though the plan is to eventually use MediaWiki's own files, once almost everyone is using a version of MediaWiki that has jQuery and jQ UI included - maybe in two or three years.

I should note that I also just added a scrollbar to the autocompletion in Special:Ask, per Patrick's suggestion. Thanks for the suggestion - I think it's a big improvement!

That's great to hear that there are no big objections. That's a very
good point, of dealing with cases where there are hundreds or more
different properties. The best solution for that case is probably to
have Special:Ask switch over automatically to use remote autocompletion
when there are more than a pre-defined number of properties, like 300
(and really, Semantic Forms should probably be doing the same thing...).
That shouldn't be hard to add in to the code.

That is great news indeed.

What kind of Javascript does the new extension use? The Javascripts shipped with MW, or own scripts, or scripts from some remote server? (this list reflects my order of preference ;-)
