You were almost there :)

The page simply needed to be refreshed (with 'purge' or by saving the form again). I just saved it again and the links are now working.

Edit the template for Books to trigger a refresh of all Books and your pages will be updated automatically.

Hi Laurent,

I'm using the Semantic Forms extension but currently have some unexpected behavior.

On the page for the book "Semantic_Web_Programming" ( the link to create an Author goes to the normal page via the link

while from the page for the property Was_written_by ( )

the link goes to the correct page for creating an Author

Any ideas ?

Subject: Re: [SMW-devel] Best way to create Custom Typed Links

You cannot constraint links to pages of a certain category.

The only way to come close to that would be to use the Semantic Forms extension (you really should use it by default anyway :) ) and set it up to use an Author form for Wanted links (or red links) associated with the 'Was written by' property.

I'm pretty new to Semantic Mediwiki. Currently I am in the process of setting up a site [1] with a number of different documents types (each document type mapping to an underlying Concept or Category) .

As a way of getting started I am following the Semantic Forms Example [2] which creates Books and Authors and uses the property "Was written by", of type "Page" to link a Book with its Author(s).

What is the best way to create a property that constrains the link just to Authors, e.g. a property "written by", of type "Author" where only Author pages are valid for the "written by" property?
