Hi Terry,

This seems to be two issues in one: including anniversaries of dates, and using dates that dates that don't fit within the UNIX/Linux range (usually 1900-2038), whether they're historical or too far in the future. Anniversaries can't be handled at the moment, though I'd like them to be; and they shouldn't be too hard to implement. The harder issue is historical and future dates - currently the extension uses PHP's own date handling, which means that it is bound by the limitations of whatever system it's running on. Being able to handle any date would be an amazing enhancement, and would, I think, put Semantic Calendar above even many non-wiki software solutions. Unfortunately, I have no idea if this can be done. Feel free to look through the code; if you have any thoughts on how it could be accomplished, please let me know.

-Yaron

I might like a calendar that reports, not upcoming events, but
anniversaries of historical events. How difficult to you suppose I might
find it to adapt your extension to use my new Historical Date datatype?

Your extension seems perfectly appropriate for a wiki devoted to current
and planned events. But I'm helping run an encyclopedia--actually, two
encyclopedias. There we store dates that go much further back than the
Unix Era--back centuries, or millennia. So I'm always looking for
software that will run a timeline--or, as I said, a calendar of
anniversaries.
