#14 Login Error: "Malformed login response"

on win2k sp2 using semagic with insanejournal.com

I've used semagic in the past with no problem with
livejournal and deadjournal, however, i always get the
following error when logging into my insanejournal:

"malformed login response, web menus will be messed up."

The only thing i changed from the default installation
was under server settings where i changed the address
from "www.livejournal.com" to "www.insanejournal.com."

I get the error every time, and then it proceeds to log
me in and things seem to work fairly normally. I even
upgraded to version 1.5.9.9U and still get the error. I
have tried changing some of the other connection and
server settings and nothing has helped so far.

Any ideas?
