In reference to a bug submitted, I have created a 256x256 sized icon resource for the semagic application icon to support Vista/Win7 icon specifications.
I have also created a few alternate versions of the icon to choose from.
They are available here: http://jessicarbrown.com/semagic/icon/
Icon 1 is the version submitted, with the swirl in the background of the 256 pixel icon.
Icon 2 contains the pen icon without the swirl for the 256 pixel icon
Icon 3 is similar to icon 1, except the 48 pixel icon matches the 256 pixel icon.
Icon 4 is is similar to icon 2, except the 48 pixel and 32 pixel icons have been redone to match the 256 pixel icon more closely.
Icon 5 is similar to icon icon 1, except the 48 pixel and 32 pixel icons have been redone to match icon 4.
Also provided at this URL is the vector illustration from which the icons were created (format: Corel Draw X5 *.cdr), and a couple of intermediate file type conversions (photoshop 7, PNG). Any of these files that are useful (eg: the vector source image) or variants thereof may be included in Semagic's code repository if they would be useful in the future for creating images in other formats.

Hello. I recall I was kind of busy that month in 2012 and just briefly looked into your icon without checking myself. Do you know where is it supposed to be shown? i.e. that 256x256 icon that you added? It does not show in windows 11. It is visible in the editor, but desktop shortcut show some other picture. Also, your link for other intermediate source files is outdated, I wanted to download them to edit the picture myself.

Oh, I figured out, on a computer with 2k display resolution, the icon is with a swirl. So 256px icon is for large resolution.
