Hey There folks selectbf is back on development a new version is ready to be released im just waiting for a word from Tim to be able to release new project versions .
Here are the features of the new version
** Military Ranking system instead of rank position
** Server Live Status
** Direct Connection from Brownser
** Hall of Fame where admin can give players special medals
** Medal System for players , best pilot, best tank commander and so on Total of 12 medals
** New Admin Interface most of the webtemplate can be customized using the interface great for direct access withtout having to use ftp or such .
** Four level of access to the admin interface wich is multiuser now
** Signature System for players and clans wich can be used in forums
** New player statistics
** Major Template overhaul .

Hey There, well i just got back from vacations so i should have some extra time to finish the details, but its all up and running and i would say it can be release in a week or so . You can check a demo version here www.bf1942.com.br/demo . I still have to make some minor adjustments and upload it to the cvs here ate sourceforge.

Will the new version be compatible with BF Vietnam by any chance?
We're is on a shared server (our site), can we use a different server to pull the data from the game server and have our site server then parse the files? (apologies if I am wording this incorrectly)

Yes , it should be fully compatible with BF Vietnam, the medals system can be edited using the admin interface with bfv vehicles, whats your website and server ? I could use some logs from your server to make some tests and also i gonna see if i can set up a database so we can do some beta testing .
The parser must be either installed in the server where the game is or you can download the logs from the game server then run the parser in your machine and update the database from there . As i said it would be great to have some bfv logs to test it. i ll be very glad if you send them .

No, at this time, theres no plans on releasing a new version . Im all thats left of the team of developers and for now development of a private non-open source version has started under the name RankSys 2.0 .
