This plugin creates a button that, when clicked, opens a list of your table's columns. When you click on one of the columns in this list its visibility will be toggled.
At the time I forked this repository, it was working pretty well, but I added a few features. Namely:
- The ability to control the positioning of the menu within the DOM
- The ability to use of an image/icon instead of text for the menu
- The ability to style the menu items for hidden columns differently than visibly columns thanks to configurable css classes.
- The ability to have columns hidden by default until they are selected from the menu.
