I tried out the 4 series and found the new bootstrap look and feel an improvement.
Its probably an artefact of looking at a developing codebase, but I noticed that styles/bootstrap/application.js references ../restapi/index.php for typeahead in the search box and restapi/ is not present in the source and commented out in the top level Makefile.

Still, could you make it available as part of the development branch? Or even the master branch, I need some features on the API and could try to implement them myself. If the code is lacking I'll have to work with the release files.

I've created a fork, available at https://github.com/Knitter/seeddms where I'll add the API methods that I need. Given the lack of the API code in this repo I'll be forced to use the distribution version of the API, don't know how up to date that one will be.

You are right. The restapi is working but still in a rather unfinished status. I didn't want to make it public unless the api stabilizes.
