    Hallo,

    Sebastian

Could you please write in english.

The question roughly was how to update to the latetest version of seeddms.

If you update to 4.3.25 you will just have to replace the software and keep your data and config file.
This will not touch your documents nor your database.

If you update to 5.0.2 will also have to run the install tool afterwards to make the required database changes. This will not touch your documents but obviously changes your database, but will not delete any records.

In any case it is a good idea to save your data directory, config file and database (if you use mysql) before you start the update.

Sorry. I would have thought that they can speak German .
The name looked after , that they can speak German .
    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

If I have understood correctly , I can simply overwrite the files when updating to 5.0.2 .
And then just run only the Install Tool .

Do I need the Quick Start package or sufficient normal core ?

I speak german but not all in this forum speak german too.

Yes, you can just overwrite the files, except for the data directory and your configuration file. Basically you take everything (except data and the www/conf) from a recent quick start archive and copy it over into your installation or you make a new installation and copy your data and www/conf directory into that fresh installation. In any case run the install tool afterwards if you update from 4.3.x to 5.0.x.

You could also take seeddms-x.x.x.tar.gz, SeedDMS_Core-x.x.x.tar.gz and all the rest to update your
installation but that is much more complicated.

I took the files from the archive of quickstart 5.0.2 and overwrite my old files .
Then, recalling the path http://meine-ip/seeddms43x/www/install/install.php comes following message : For installation of SeedDMS , you must create the file conf / ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL

I Seeddms installed on a Synology if this is important. The conf and data are the old Folder,
this I have not renewed as described

Well, did you create the file? Without it, the install tool will not be accessible for security reasons.

THX. It is better to use mysql or sqlLite.
If I let go through the update , I can no longer access the page . It takes only one error .
But the update passes through normal.

    One more question.
If I completely re-install the script in version 5.0.2, I get the old documents back into the system? Or do I have all re-upload and re-create all categories and trimmings

So there seems to be problems with the 5 Quick installation with the version . No matter how you do it . There always comes the error message :
    The page nasjas not working

nasjas can not process this request right now .
    500

So there seems to be a little different from the 4 version , here was the site without problems after the description .

When i aktivate display-errors the error is: Warning: require_once(PEAR.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /volume1/web/seeddms50x/pear/Mail.php on line 46 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'PEAR.php' (include_path='/volume1/web/seeddms50x/www/:/volume1/web/seeddms50x/pear/:.') in /volume1/web/seeddms50x/pear/Mail.php on line 46

Did you manage get around this?

The error message indicates that your server has no pear installed. This is a requirement to get the modules delivered in the pear folder to work.
