We have succesfully installed seeddms in productive stage and is working great. We are using the system to avoid printing document and stop using a physical storage for lots and lots of paper.
(One big scanner and a server are better than lots and lots of paper, and more eco-friendly)
We want now to use the drop folder. If I understood correctly, this folder can be used to upload files directly to the filesystem and import later by the user.
Our idea is to scan a document and put the scanned document directly in this folder and upload later from the user account.
The problem is we cannot find information about this capability (and maybe we understood the usage in the wrong way)
Can you tell me where I can get more information about it?

You got it just right. The missing bit is probably the actuall path used. The directory specified in the configuration is just the base directory. Each user has its own dropfolder. So, if the dropfolderdir is set to /home than user admin will see all the files in /home/admin

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction...
So I have the folder setup.. but I can't see anywhere at the user level to import documents - at teh admin level I can see it under misc...
Any suggestions? we are doing what teh OP is doing as well..
