Sorry but your suggestion is not a solution to the problem at all. The main issue is that on an empty result set the EndResult has already been received at the initial execute call. But that then isn't remembered later. a subsequent iteration of fetchone() call tries to get more results and so the getItem while loop gets stuck looking fr a response. I've botched together a clumsy kind of work-around, setting the firstrow to EndResult and then adding checks to make usre it isn't of that type. - see...
