Great lets finalize this: do you prefer a flag as in: 

<changeXML operation="" [..] />

Or different elements?

<addXML [..] 
<deleteXML [..]
<changeXML [..]

We should probably also be a bit more precise on the meaning of addition ...
I suggest, that the xpath target should be the parent element on which to
add the new xml as a child. Do you agree?
