This seems much more precise - I prefer the idea of a nested element  
as this gives
more flexibility in adding in extra operations in the future without having to
alter the 'changeXML' class, which can be a base class.

Are you planning to incorporate this into level1v1 spec? It's  
certainly much clearer than the existing spec.
