[Miase-discuss] Related work on parameter sweeps

Hi all,

Something I've just come across that may be worth bearing in mind when
you return to looking at parameter sweeps - there's a working group at
the OGF looking at an extension to JSDL to allow a job submission
mechanism to sweep over:
1) XML element values elsewhere within the JSDL job submission document,
and/or
2) placeholders within parameter input files.

The working group is about to submit the document to the wider OGF
community for viewing soon, so if there aren't any problems then by the
end of the year it may be the first official version for parameter
sweeping. One person in my department is involved, and says they are
happy to have feedback/input.
