Please ignore my thing about BEEP. It fails my "no redundant crap" test.
Yet another sorta-XML over TCP protocol suite. If I wanted that, I'd
have used SOAP.

Did anyone see the BEEP (block extensible exchange protocol) discussion
on Slashdot yesterday? Who thinks moving to Beep as the underlying
protocol? This would seriously cut down the time it takes to migrate to
RFB 4.x as you'd only need to map BEEP messages to RFB capabilities.
