Initial release - 0.4alpha

This is an alpha version of the secureStrings library. You should not expect the API to be stable and/or finalized yet, however, the library has been stable enough for a while now to be usable.

The project urgently needs a lot of good documentation, manual pages, and how-tos. The documents describing the mathematical proof of the library's concept and implementation are not finished yet as well, so aside from programming and reviewing the code, there is a lot of work to do.

The library's intended target platforms are:
* all major UNIX-like operating systems (including Linux and Mac OS X)
* OS/400
* QNX
* vxWorks
* Integrity/RTOS and Integrity-DO178B

The focus is on stability, not on having every feature one could think of. However, the library should commonly be more convenient to use than the standard libc/glibc functions (like strncpy, strncat, ...).

Feel free to post your experiences with the library, what you like and what you dislike, and what your suggestions are.

I will add some how-tos and further documentation as soon as possible, so everyone who is interested can try out the library without first having to find out themselves how to use it.
