I just wanted to let everyone know that I just committed to CVS the
changes so that the menu doesn't appear on the log in page.<grin> I
have also built the check into each page to verify that the user is
logged in and has a role <=3D 10000 which is the anonymous user role.
I really want to figure out a way to let the end user set the role
needed to access a page. I had mentioned this before but other things
came up. The only way that I can see doing it is to have a database
table that lists the pages and the role needed. Then build a system
admin, like the setup that should be finished by Monday, and let the
admin set the role needed per page. Any other ideas?
I have also checked in the 2 new languages.
I have just checked in some more changes to the base project. For the
new guys on the team, this is the start of the redesign where we are
basically rewriting the entire application to build a better
architecture. This will enable us to add the features that we want
without dealing with the inherited problems.
So remember as far as the projects go in cvs... base-php4 -- original
base -- 2.x train
website-base - public web site
I just wanted to let you know that I have checked in a number of
small changes. Please check them out and let me
know if anything broke.... One change was an addition to
base_conf.php to enable or disable the external links
on the alert display pages.... So update your conf files.... I am
going to work out how to split the conf file up as a lot
of people have asked for that.....
